The political report of the Tan Ky Town Party Committee stated that over the past 5 years, with the efforts of the entire political system, the Party Committee has led the locality to achieve important results. The socio-economic development targets have all been achieved and exceeded.

Urban infrastructure has been invested in and upgraded, many large projects have been started, changing the appearance of the town. The economic structure continues to shift in a positive direction, increasing the proportion of commercial services, small-scale industry and construction, and reducing the proportion of agriculture.

Total production value in 2020 is estimated at 860 billion VND, an average increase of 15.7% in the period 2016 - 2020; Services - Trade account for 70.4%, an increase of 1% compared to 2015; Average income per capita reaches 47 million VND/person/year, exceeding 4 million VND compared to the Resolution.

Cultural and social activities continued to be enhanced, social security was ensured, and the material and spiritual life of the people was increasingly improved. The poverty rate decreased to 0.35%, exceeding the congress resolution target by 1.15%. Security, order, and social safety remained stable.

The work of building the Party and the political system has many positive changes, the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee continue to be improved, with those results in 2018 and 2019, the Town Party Committee was classified by the Standing Committee of Tan Ky District Party Committee as excellent and outstanding.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Hoang Quoc Viet - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee acknowledged and commended the results achieved by the Town Party Committee in the past term, and emphasized a number of tasks that need to be well performed in the coming time, namely continuing to innovate and improve the Party's capacity and fighting strength.

Promote economic development in the direction of trade and services, focus on administrative reform, raise awareness, responsibility and efficiency in urban management, build a cultural lifestyle, constantly improve the material and spiritual life of the people, maintain political security and social order and safety in the area.
