Footage of Russian President Vladimir Putin bathing in an ice hole on his Baptism Day has been widely enjoyed.

Many were surprised to see the head of state immersed in water when the temperature outside was -17. One of the commentators refused to believe that the river was not completely frozen in such frost. Other users noted the good physical condition of the Russian President.
"Looks much cooler than our beloved leader Boris," another replied.

The Baptism of the Lord was celebrated on January 19. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that plunging into the ice hole is a tradition, which "with tradition comesMr. Putin never betrays".
