Mobile trial of defendants illegally storing firecrackers and drugs in Vinh City

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 2, at block 13, Nghi Phu commune, Vinh City People's Court held a mobile trial for the crimes of illegal drug trafficking and storage, and illegal storage of firecrackers.

Defendant Nguyen Van Vinh, residing in Hamlet 1, Thanh Khai Commune, Thanh Chuong District, was sentenced to 6 months in prison.for illegal possession of fireworks.

The subject prosecuted by the People's Procuracy of Vinh City for the crime of illegal possession of firecrackers is Nguyen Van Vinh (born in 1988), residing in Hamlet 1, Thanh Khai Commune, Thanh Chuong District, arrested by Le Loi Ward police while transporting 15kg of firecrackers in the area near Thanh An Saigon Hospital.

At the trial, the defendant admitted his crime. Applying the provisions of the Penal Code, the Vinh City People's Court sentenced the defendant to 6 months in prison.

Also at the trial, Vinh City People's Court tried the subjects who illegally stored drugs, including: Phan Van Thanh (born in 1991), residing in block 12, Le Loi ward, Bui Viet Phuoc (born in 1977), residing in hamlet 3, Hung Chinh commune; Dang Anh Tuan (born in 1977), residing in block 6, Truong Thi ward, Vinh city.

The trial panel cited the defendants' criminal acts and applied the provisions of the Penal Code to sentence the defendants to 24 to 48 months in prison./.
