May 15, appeal trial of Viet A case

On the morning of May 15, the High People's Court in Hanoi will open an appeal hearing to consider the appeal of former Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long and 10 other defendants in the Viet A case.

The appellate court did not accept the appeal of tycoon Minh Khang and his wife.

(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Head of the Minh Khang Urban Area Project Management Board was sentenced to 30 years in prison by the first instance court for two crimes. However, because he did not agree with the first instance verdict, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang filed an appeal claiming his innocence, requesting a review of the entire case.
Former investigator absent from appeal hearing of 'rescue flight' case

The appeal hearing of the 'rescue flight' case was opened to consider the appeals of 21 defendants and those with related rights and obligations. Before the trial date, former investigator Hoang Van Hung submitted a request to be tried in absentia.
