Handling 3 women renting booths in pine hills to practice prostitution

On March 25, Nghi Loc District Police announced that the unit had administratively sanctioned the following violations of prostitution: Tang Thi A (born in 1980), residing in Dien Cat Commune, Dien Chau District; Luong Thi H (born in 1980), residing in Ban Ve Commune, Tuong Duong District; Bui Thi P (born in 1968), residing in Hoa Son Commune, Do Luong District; Nguyen Van H (born in 1982), residing in Nghi Long Commune; Nguyen Van H (born in 1980), residing in Nghi Phuong Commune, Nghi Loc District.

Previously, through the work of grasping the situation in Tien Phong hamlet, Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district police discovered that many subjects from other places had rented some kiosks here with signs of prostitution. The time of operation was mainly in the evening every day. That made public opinion indignant.

At around 5:00 p.m. on March 19, the people reported that prostitution was taking place at kiosks in Tien Phong hamlet, Nghi Yen commune. Nghi Loc district police immediately coordinated with Nghi Yen commune police to inspect 4 kiosks in this area. Through inspection, the working groups discovered 2 kiosks engaging in prostitution.

Specifically: At the kiosk rented by Tang Thi A., A was discovered selling sex to Nguyen Van H (residing in Nghi Long commune). In the kiosk, Luong Thi H. also confessed to being a prostitute. The subjects agreed to buy and sell sex for 150,000 VND per "customer". The seized evidence included 97 condoms, 1 white pill, suspected to be an emergency contraceptive, and 150,000 VND in cash. Tang Thi A. has a criminal record, and was sentenced to 15 months in prison in 2017 for harboring prostitution.

Checking the kiosk rented by Bui Thi P., the authorities also discovered that P. was performing sex acts with the buyer, Nguyen Van H (residing in Nghi Phuong commune). The evidence seized here was 150,000 VND.

Nghi Loc District Police made a record and took the subjects to the headquarters for questioning, then issued a decision to impose administrative penalties for prostitution. The district police requested Nghi Yen Commune authorities to expel the subjects involved in prostitution from the area.

At the same time, check and inspect kiosks in Tien Phong hamlet. Kiosks without owners will be managed by local authorities. Kiosks with owners will be handed over to the owners by the commune authorities to ensure that they are not rented out to individuals for prostitution activities.
