(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 7 months of 2018, the Department of Transport Inspectorate inspected and handled 337 cases of violations regarding load and container size; imposed fines and paid 1.2 billion VND to the State Treasury.

Nghe An Department of Transport Inspectorate said that since the beginning of the year, many peak inspections have been carried out and strict handling of freight vehicles violating the Road Traffic Law such as: transporting oversized goods, overloading, spilling goods, violating the size of the cargo box.

Direct the Vehicle Weight Inspection Station to develop a monthly operational plan, focusing on inspecting and handling oversized and overloaded vehicles on authorized national highways and provincial roads with a large number of vehicles operating.

In the first 7 months of 2018, the Department Inspectorate inspected and handled 337 cases of violations of load capacity and container size; imposed fines and paid to the State Treasury 1.2 billion VND. In particular, the Nghe An Department of Transport Inspectorate has propagated and requested business owners and individuals with vehicles violating container size to voluntarily cut off the extensions in 42 cases.

Recently, on June 12, 2018, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 4123/UBND-CN requesting the Provincial Police and the Department of Transport to strengthen measures and continue to effectively control vehicle load in the province.

The Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Transport to direct the Traffic Inspectorate to continue to control the load of road vehicles in accordance with their functions and tasks. In particular, focusing on controlling the load of vehicles at the cargo loading and unloading hubs (ports, wharves, yards, stations, mines, warehouses, etc.) and on the roads managed by the Department; strictly handling vehicles that expand the size of the walls and cargo boxes for the purpose of overloading.

The provincial police mobilized forces and means to launch peak campaigns to propagate, inspect, and handle vehicles carrying goods and passengers that violate traffic safety order, transport goods and passengers that are overloaded, oversized, or that drop goods causing traffic insecurity, especially dump trucks.

The provincial police directed the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department, the police of districts, cities and towns to effectively use fixed and portable load scales; directed the functional forces to increase mobile patrols and controls, and strictly handle violations of vehicle load.

The Road Administration Department II directed the Road Inspectorate to strengthen control and strictly handle violations of vehicle load, side and body size according to authority and regulations; coordinate to exchange and provide information with the Department of Transport and the Provincial Police on the situation of vehicle load violations.
