Punish 2 cases of posting false news during storms
On the morning of September 30, Cam Duong Ward Police, Lao Cai, imposed an administrative fine of VND 7.5 million on MV P and LV PH for posting false information on social networks.
Through monitoring the situation on cyberspace, Cam Duong Ward Police discovered two social media accounts named LA PH and Lao Cai Online posting false information about a ship in the area of An Duong Vuong Street, Lao Cai Ward.

Cam Duong Ward Police have verified, clarified and summoned the personal account and Page to the police station for questioning. Through verification, the owner of the personal Facebook account is LV Ph, born in 1994, residing in Lao Cai Ward, Lao Cai Province; the owner of the "Lao Cai Online" account is MV Ph, born in 1989, residing in Lao Cai Ward. These two cases confessed to being the ones who posted false information about the image of the ship that was edited with AI technology, drifting in the An Duong Vuong street area on social networks with false content, causing misunderstanding on social networks.
After being informed and explained by the police about their violations of the law on cyber security, LV Ph and MV Ph realized that their violations were due to lack of understanding and accepted full responsibility before the law.
Cam Duong Ward Police has issued a Decision to administratively sanction LV Ph and MV Ph for the act of providing and sharing false information according to Point a, Clause 1, Article 101, Decree 15/2020/ND-CP of the Government with a fine of 7.5 million VND.
Through this, Cam Duong Ward Police advises people to verify information when posting on social networks, not to share fake news, false news, or bad information on cyberspace. Violations of the law on cyberspace will be strictly handled according to the provisions of the law.
