Yen Thanh celebrates 73 years of gaining district government

The commemorative speech reviewed the 73-year journey of construction, fighting and growing up, Yen Thanh has made quite comprehensive and steady progress. The economy continues to grow rapidly, shifting the economic structure in the right direction, the proportion of agriculture-forestry-fishery decreased to 48%, the proportion of industry-construction gradually increased to 20.4%, and services-commerce increased to 31.5%.

The infrastructure system of transportation, irrigation, and welfare works has been invested in and planned well. Culture, society, national defense, and security have seen many positive changes. The work of building a strong and comprehensive Party and government has been given importance, and the great solidarity of the people has been strengthened.

Especially in the new rural construction movement, currently, the whole district has 25 communes meeting the new rural standards, the district with the largest number of communes meeting the new rural standards in the province; the rural appearance is increasingly improving.

At the ceremony, authorized by the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council awarded Certificates of Merit to 17 individuals with outstanding achievements in work from 2016-2017.
