1 ton of stinking offal at Vinh bus station

(Baonghean.vn) - At 7:00 p.m. on December 29, at Vinh bus station, authorities seized more than 1 ton of viscera, blood, skin, hooves and beef shins that were emitting a foul odor.

While on patrol, scouts from Market Management Team No. 3 (Nghe An Market Management Department) coordinated with the City Veterinary Station and the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Team (Vinh City Police) to inspect goods being transported at Vinh bus station and discovered 12 foam boxes and 2 suspicious sacks being gathered to be transported onto passenger cars.

The quantity of internal organs of unknown origin was seized.

Inspecting this shipment, authorities discovered 200 kg of pig skin, 130 kg of processed cow blood, 280 kg of raw cow hooves, 490 kg of unprocessed cow hooves and beef shank, worth nearly 100 million VND.

The entire shipment was of unknown origin, did not ensure food hygiene and safety, and gave off a foul odor.

Despite the opposition of some extremists, the authorities resolutely confiscated and handed over the above shipment to the Vinh City Veterinary Station for destruction according to the law./.
