After posting on social media for more than 10 minutes, Manh received a phone call from a female officer of the Women's Union of Xuan Hai Commune (Nghi Xuan District, Ha Tinh), informing him that his father had been found. Manh immediately drove from Vinh City to Nghi Xuan District to have the officer take him to his father's house.

At noon, Mr. Nguyen Van LocReturning, father and son met, both shedding tears. He took Manh to the sea to confide. "The feeling of seeing dad for the first time after 21 years was hard to describe, my eyes were stinging. I was happy but also a bit resentful, asking why after such a long time he hadn't come back to us, he just kept silent," Manh said.

Mr. Loc (residing in Xuan Hai commune, Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province) met Mrs. Nguyen Thi Duong (inDo Luong, Nghe An) in 1995 and aboutwife's hometown. When Manh was born, he wasA life of poverty and living with his wife's family made him feel suffocated, often having conflicts with some of his wife's family. He left for the South to work, many years later, he started a new family, had 4 more children, then moved back to his hometown to live.

Since the day her father passed away, mother and daughter have had a difficult life, relying on each other, living on vegetables and porridge, and have had no news from their father's hometown. Currently, Mrs. Xuan works for a freezer factory in Dong Nai to earn money to support her children.As a child, Manh felt very sad when he realized he had no father, while many of his friends had their fathers take them to and from school. He always wished he had a father and that his father would take care of him. Growing up, Manh repeatedly asked for information about his father but to no avail.

Interspersed with the four-hour conversation between Manh and his father was a phone call between Mr. Loc and Mrs. Duong after many years of hiatus. The 54-year-old man told his wife that he had thought that when she passed away,will remarry, because she is beautiful, many people notice. Many times he still wants to go back to see her to visit home, visit children, but afraid that she has a new family so he does not dare.

Manh also met his father's new wife and made it clear that he only wanted to see his father and did not ask for any division of property.After the meeting, Mr. Loc took his son back to Vinh to study. Manh said that when he has free time, he will return to his hometown to visit him.

"I tDon't ask if mom hates dad? Mom replied she never hated dad for anything, that day dad left was not wrong, it was because of circumstances. Mom just wanted dad to come back to see mom and me one more time", Manh said. He plans toAfter graduating from college, I will apply to go to Korea to earn money to pay off debt and help my mother.

Ms. Tran Thi Huong, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Xuan Hai Commune, said that yesterday, after reading information on social media, she saw that the content included Mr. Loc's name and some people in her commune, so she contacted the village to confirm whether it was true or not. At first, Ms. Huong was skeptical and did not dare to ask, afraid of affecting their families.

“After confirming the correct information, I called the person who left the phone number online. The young man then went home to meet his father. Witnessing that reunion, I and many others were very moved. The commune leaders encouraged and congratulated Mr. Loc and his son,” said Ms. Huong.
