17/18 new Covid-19 cases related to Da Nang Hospital, Vietnam has 670 cases
The 6 p.m. news from the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control reported 18 new cases, including 17 cases related to Da Nang Hospital and 1 imported case from Guinea that was immediately quarantined.
CASES 653 - 668:in Da Nang, age from 8-93, including:
- 8 cases are F1, have been quarantined.
- 5 family members taking care of the patient at Da Nang Hospital
- 1 medical staff at Danang Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital
- 1 case is a patient treated at Da Nang Hospital
- 1 case in Cam Le district (a security guard at Da Nang bus station, an outpatient at Gia Dinh Hospital).

CASE 669:Male patient, 50 years old, with address in Quang Vinh Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province, related to Da Nang Hospital, is a doctor at Dong Nai General Hospital, visited relatives at the Internal Medicine Department, Da Nang Hospital, and had close contact with Patient 510.
The patient is currently isolated and treated at Dong Nai Lung Hospital.
CASE 670:Male patient, 50 years old, with address at Thanh Truc, Thach Thanh, Thanh Hoa.
On July 29, the patient returned to Noi Bai Airport from Equatorial Guinea on flight VN6 (20 positive cases were previously recorded on this flight; was quarantined and treated at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases immediately after entry.
The patient's second test result was positive for SARS-CoV-2.
Total cases: 670 cases
- As of 6:00 p.m. on August 4: Vietnam has a total of 670 COVID-19 cases, of which 308 imported cases were immediately quarantined.
- Number of new cases in the community from July 25 to present: 222 cases recorded.
- From 6:00 a.m. on August 4 to 6:00 p.m. on August 4: 18 new cases recorded.
Treatment situation: According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee - National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control: Up to now, 374/670 COVID-19 cases in our country have been announced to be cured, accounting for 57.4% of the total number of cases.
As for foreign patients, up to now, 50 foreign patients have been cured in Vietnam.
As of the afternoon of August 4, among the COVID-19 patients being treated and monitored at medical facilities, there are currently 21 patients who have tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus 1-2 times. There are currently 251 patients positive for the virus that causes COVID-19.
