200 Buddhists attend 3-day retreat at Co Am Pagoda
(Baonghean.vn) - Wishing to bring peaceful experiences to Buddhists, Co Am Pagoda, Dien Minh Commune, Dien Chau District organized a 3-day retreat with the theme "Like Lotus Spreading Fragrance" - Meditating to calm the mind and find oneself.

The retreat lasted for 3 days (March 29-31). At the retreat, the organizers invited experienced lecturers from inside and outside the province to preach Buddhism. According to the registration list, there were more than 200 Buddhists (aged 20-80) from inside and outside Dien Chau district attending the retreat.

During the retreat program, every day the students must wake up at 3:30 a.m. to perform activities according to the schedule, including: listening to lectures on Buddhist teachings; study methods; chanting sutras; meditating; reciting Buddha's name; walking meditation... All activities of the students during the retreat are mindful in 4 activities: walking, standing, lying down, sitting.

During the 3-day retreat, the temple is temporarily closed and does not receive any tour groups into the retreat area. Instead, visitors are only allowed to visit the Cao Pagoda area, Nhu Y Cave, the 3-faced Guanyin statue, etc. to ensure a good practice space for the students.

With the theme “Like a lotus spreading its fragrance” - Meditating to find oneself, the retreat aims to bring peaceful moments to Buddhists near and far. This is the 5th time that Co Am Pagoda has organized a 3-day retreat.
