The President has just issued a Decision on conferring the honorary title of Meritorious Artist to 102 artists in the fields of Music, Cinema, Dance; Theater, Radio - Television. The artists were honored for their many contributions to the cause of building and developing the national culture.

Accordingly, Nghe An province has 3 artists honored this time including artist Que Thi Thuong in the field of music; artist Nguyen Thi Hue (Thien Hue) and artist Ho Van Thong in the field of theater. The 3 artists have made many contributions to the province's art industry with excellent performances and highly effective roles.

Artist Que Thuong is a singer of the Traditional Song and Dance Troupe, now part of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center, since 2002. Throughout her career, the artist has made many outstanding contributions.

In 2004, won the gold medal at the National Student Singing Contest of Cultural and Artistic Schools and Fine Arts Exhibition.

In 2015, won a gold medal for solo "Lullaby of Origin" at the National Professional Singing and Dancing Competition organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information and Sports.

In 2016, he won the A prize with the work "There is a countryside in me" awarded by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Musicians Association.

In 2018, won a gold medal with the work "Oh, the fate of a girl" at the National Professional Music and Dance Competition.

Artist Nguyen Thi Hue (Thien Hue) is an actress with many contributions to the field of theater. She has had many excellent roles with her sweet, natural voice and excellent acting ability.

In 2010, won a silver medal for the role of Linh in "A single tree cannot make a mountain" at the National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival.

In 2013, won a gold medal for the role of Huong Ly in the play "Duong Rac Trong Dan" at the National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival.

In 2014, won the title of Outstanding Actor awarded by the Vietnam Stage Musicians Association.

In 2016, won a gold medal for the role of Nhung in the play "Teacher and Student" at the National Tuong and Folk Drama Festival.

In 2019, won a gold medal for the role of Lady Le Quoc in the play "Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi" at the National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival.

Artist Ho Van Thong (Minh Thong) is an outstanding artist of the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage, now the Provincial Traditional Arts Center. Minh Thong specializes in playing the roles of celebrities, patriots, and staunch revolutionaries thanks to his good acting ability, warm and sweet voice, and bright stage presence. He has made many contributions to the folk music and drama stage.

In 2018, won a gold medal for the role of a mandarin in the play "Power and Crime" at the National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival.

In 2019, won a gold medal for the role of Duke Cuong Nguyen Xi at the National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival...

Criteria for awarding the title "Meritorious Artist"

The title of Meritorious Artist is awarded to those working in the fields of art and radio and television who meet the following criteria:

* Be loyal to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; the charter, rules and regulations of agencies, organizations and localities.

* Having moral qualities, being exemplary in life, dedicated to the profession; having outstanding artistic talent; having professional prestige; admired by colleagues and people.

* Have continuous or cumulative professional artistic activities of 15 years or more; for circus and dance art forms, have continuous or cumulative professional artistic activities of 10 years or more.

* Meet one of the following criteria:

- Have at least 2 national Gold awards (including 1 individual Gold award).

Domestic or international Gold Awards of individuals or of films, programs, plays, and performances are converted to calculate achievements for individuals according to the provisions in Appendix II issued with Decree 89/2014/ND-CP.

- Have at least 01 national Gold prize and 2 national Silver prizes (including 1 individual Gold prize).
