30 contestants compete at Nghe An Skilled Worker Competition 2019
(Baonghean.vn) - The contest aims to honor highly skilled workers; promote the emulation movement, study, practice to improve vocational skills, pass on the profession, and contribute to economic development at rural and local vocational establishments in Nghe An province.
On the morning of October 12, in Vinh City, Nghe An Cooperative Union organized a Competition for skilled workers in the field of handicrafts and craft villages in Nghe An province.

This year’s competition has 30 contestants from 5 districts and 12 communes in Nghe An. Of these, 14 contestants competing in brocade weaving come from Ky Son, Quy Chau and Con Cuong districts; 16 contestants competing in rattan and bamboo weaving come from 3 districts: Yen Thanh, Quynh Luu and Con Cuong.
The contest consists of 2 parts, a compulsory subject test and a creative subject test with each part lasting 60 minutes. For the compulsory part, contestants must create products according to the requirements of the topic. For the creative part, contestants are free to create products and will have to explain and introduce their products in an attractive and unique way.

The products made by the contestants in the contest must meet the requirements of the contest in terms of design, type, quantity, size, creativity and practical application. The jury will organize the scoring based on the criteria of quality, technique, ensuring aesthetics and ensuring time.

The Organizing Committee will select 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize and 1 Encouragement Prize for each profession, and at the same time reward the collective with the most outstanding achievements.
As a result, the first prize in brocade weaving went to contestant Lo Thi Mai, Huu Lap commune, Ky Son district. The first prize in export rattan and bamboo weaving went to contestant Tang Thi Hoan, Tho Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district. The first prize in traditional rattan and bamboo weaving went to contestant Vi Thi Noi, Chau Khe commune, Con Cuong district. Ky Son and Con Cuong districts were awarded the Excellent Collective prize.
