4 people seriously injured after collision between passenger bus and tanker truck

(Baonghean.vn) - A passenger bus carrying 7 people suddenly lost control, jumped onto the median strip, and crashed into a tanker truck going in the opposite direction, seriously injuring 4 people.

At around 6am on September 25, a passenger bus traveling from Vinh City to Que Phong suddenly lost control and crashed into the median strip when it reached Dien An Commune (Dien Chau District).

Not stopping yet, the car rushed into the opposite lane. At that moment, a tanker truck with license plate 37C - 249.14 came, the two cars crashed into each other with great force.

At the time of the accident, there were 7 people on the bus. The strong impact seriously injured 4 people on the 2 vehicles. The tanker driver was trapped in the cabin, then the rescue team broke the door to get him out.

The victims were transported to the 115 Hospital for emergency treatment. The victims were identified as: Ha Van Toan (36 years old, resident of Tan Ky district), Tran Thi Hong (59 years old, resident of Que Phong district), Cao Thi Chung (37 years old) and Nguyen Duc Tien (44 years old, both residents of Dien Chau district). The victims all suffered multiple injuries.

At the scene, the front of the tanker truck was crushed, and many parts of the passenger bus's side and front windshield were shattered. Traffic police were present to protect the scene and regulate traffic on the road where the accident occurred.

The accident caused the road through this area to be partially blocked for nearly two hours./.
