5 suspects in the brawl at Quan Lau karaoke bar surrender

(Baonghean.vn) - The 5 suspects who turned themselves in to Vinh City Police are all members of Duc Gu Lit's group. The investigation agency is taking statements to consolidate the case file, initiate criminal proceedings, and prosecute the defendants.

On the evening of September 20, Vinh City Police said that during the day, 5 suspects in the brawl at Quan Lau karaoke bar, Truong Thi ward, turned themselves in, including: Tuan, Duc, Hoai. In particular, Tran Hung Dung (born in 1984), residing in block 10, Truong Thi ward, Vinh city; Dang Van Dai (born in 1984), residing in block 7, Quan Bau ward, Vinh city - are 2 suspects that the police investigation agency had previously issued special arrest warrants.

Two suspects, Dang Van Dai and Tran Hung Dung, who were previously issued special arrest warrants by the police investigation agency, have surrendered.

The five suspects surrendered on September 20, along with an accomplice named Chu Duc Gu Lit (born in 1990), residing in Truong Thi ward, who surrendered on September 17. All six suspects are currently being investigated for two crimes: “Disturbing public order” and “Intentionally causing injury,” according to investigators.

As reported, the initial investigation results determined that at 1:20 p.m. on September 13, 2016, Nguyen Dinh Trung (born in 1979) and Nguyen Dinh Binh (born in 1984), both residing in Hamlet 6, Nghi Thach Commune (Nghi Loc District), and some friends were singing karaoke in room 206, Quan Lau Karaoke Bar in Truong Thi Ward (Vinh City).

At about 3:40 p.m. the same day, the group left. When Nguyen Dinh Trung drove car with license plate 37A-179.92 carrying Nguyen Dinh Binh and three friends out of the restaurant's parking garage, he collided with car with license plate 37A-098.90 driven by Chu Duc Gu Lit (born in 1990), Truong Thi ward, Vinh city, which had just parked in the restaurant's yard.

After the collision, Trung drove the car to park on the left side of the Karaoke bar while Binh went to talk to Gu Lit and then returned to the car. After coming back to talk to each other for the second time, the two sides got into a fight.

As a result, Nguyen Dinh Trung and Nguyen Dinh Binh were slashed, shot, and thrown stones by Chu Duc Gu Lit's group, injuring them and requiring emergency treatment at the hospital.

According to investigators, the health of the two victims has improved. The case is being further investigated by Vinh City Police.
