66 candidates removed from the election list

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 15, the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held the 3rd Consultation Conference to select and make a list of qualified candidates for the 14th National Assembly and the 17th Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term.

Attending the conference were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Provincial People's Council; Department of Home Affairs and member organizations of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Comrade Le Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board added tasks to the working group to pay attention to the full titles of the candidates.

At the conference, in order to have a basis for the 3rd consultative conference to consider and select qualified candidates for the National Assembly and Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee reported the results of collecting comments from voters at the place of residence for each candidate for the 14th National Assembly and the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021.

Accordingly, the conference of voters at the place of residence was conducted democratically, with the correct composition and number as prescribed. As a result, 28 candidates for National Assembly deputies were recommended by 100% of voters at the place of residence; 2 people had a trust rate of less than 50%. For the candidates for the Provincial People's Council for the 17th term, 2016 - 2021, out of 209 people, 203 people had 100% trust; 5 people had over 95% trust and 1 person had 0% trust.

Comrade Nguyen Van Huy - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee explained a number of issues raised by delegates.

Based on the agreed criteria, structure, composition, and number of National Assembly deputies and provincial People's Council deputies; the results of collecting opinions from voters at their workplaces and places of residence for each candidate for the 14th National Assembly and the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021; the number of constituencies and the number of National Assembly deputies elected in Nghe An, the number of provincial People's Council deputies elected; the forecast of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the conference discussed democratically, intelligently, and responsibly to select qualified candidates for the National Assembly and Provincial People's Council.

The conference voted to approve the official list of 18 candidates for National Assembly deputies from the local number (not including 2 candidates introduced by the Central Government for election in Nghe An); 153 candidates for provincial People's Council deputies to establish the official election list.
