8 working groups resolve problems before election day in Nghi Loc

(Baonghean.vn) - In order for the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term to take place successfully, Nghi Loc district has strengthened the inspection of election work and promptly resolved difficulties and problems at the grassroots level.

Nghi Xuan is one of 6 communes in the coastal area of ​​Nghi Loc district. In implementing the election, Nghi Xuan commune encountered certain difficulties. The commune has more than 100 workers participating in the seafaring profession, so the propaganda and mobilization to reach these subjects also encountered many difficulties. Moreover, according to the law on organization of local government, Nghi Xuan is one of 10 communes and towns of Nghi Loc district that must reduce from 2 Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee to 1 Vice Chairman of the People's Committee.

Faced with that situation, members of the Election Committee inspected the election work in hamlets in the area. Through inspection and understanding the situation, they directly resolved difficulties and guided hamlets to update and promptly supplement shortcomings. Comrade Nguyen Duy Tri, Party Secretary, Head of the Election Steering Committee of Nghi Xuan commune said: "Inspecting the election work at the grassroots level helps hamlets grasp more information and resolve arising problems and difficulties. On that basis, promptly supplement and complete documents related to the election, as well as direct the commune to propagate and decorate the festival at polling stations, areas and on the traffic routes of the commune, village, and residential area. ".

In Nghi Thinh commune, during the implementation process, the commune's Election Committee received a petition related to a People's Council delegate. Immediately after receiving the information, the Commune Election Committee investigated the issue according to the citizen's complaint. However, through investigation and confrontation, the Election Committee concluded that the citizen's complaint was not related to the delegate. Through reconciliation work, at present, there has been no new development in this issue. Mr. Vo Thanh Dao - Party Secretary, Head of the Nghi Thinh Commune Election Steering Committee informed: "To protect the legitimate rights of voters and candidates for People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2016-2021 term, the settlement of citizens' complaints and denunciations is identified by the commune as one of the important aspects of work and focused on timely resolution".

For communes with many projects being implemented such as Nghi Yen, Nghi Thiet, Nghi Thuan, there are still problems related to compensation and site clearance. Along with the establishment of the Election Committee, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has also established a steering committee, assigning each member of the standing committee to be in charge of regions and points. Thereby, grasping, directing and handling problems arising from the grassroots. Along with that, a working group has been established to assist the steering committee to grasp, directly guide and help the Standing Committee resolve problems arising from the grassroots.

Accordingly, Nghi Loc established 8 inspection and supervision teams to directly direct, assist and remove difficulties for the grassroots. Specifically, the working group in Nghi Thiet commune was divided into 13 working groups to 13 election groups in the district. In Nghi Thiet commune, the working group carried out propaganda work so that people could understand the policy of attracting investment, implementing projects to contribute to economic development in the area, and solving jobs for workers. Besides, it also created consensus so that people could understand the responsibilities of voters in the election work.
