Impressive Art Program to Celebrate Vietnamese Family Day

On the evening of June 26, at Ho Chi Minh Square, the Department of Culture and Sports organized an art program to celebrate Vietnamese Family Day (June 28) and respond to the "National Action Month on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control in 2020".

The theme of this year's Vietnamese Family Day is "Preserving and promoting the tradition of good behavior in the family".,The art program aims to contribute to raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and the whole society in preventing and combating domestic violence, protecting women and children, and building prosperous, progressive and happy families.

At the same time, honor the profound humanistic values ​​of Vietnamese families; promote propaganda and mobilize people of all walks of life to practice civilized lifestyles and cultural behavior in families and communities, inherit the good traditions of Vietnamese families, and selectively absorb new values ​​and progress.

Speaking at the opening of the Program, Comrade Quach Thi Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports affirmed that, over many generations, Vietnamese families have been formed and developed with good values, contributing to building the national cultural identity. Over time, the structure and relationships within the family have changed, but the basic functions of the family still exist and the family is still one of the important and indispensable factors in the country's economic and social development.

Family is the home of each person, a cultural environment built on the basis of love and mutual care between blood relatives, an important environment for forming and educating children's personalities. Building a prosperous, equal, progressive and happy family is a contribution to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, is the responsibility of many departments, branches, many social organizations and is the responsibility of every citizen.

The program included singing, dancing, and drama performances by artists and actors from the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage and the Provincial Cultural Center, bringing many emotions to the audience. In particular, the skit “Rich cry, poor laugh” was considered a highlight, carrying deep educational meaning.

The performances in the program also convey pride in the country and homeland, deep and passionate affection for family, loved ones and relatives; love, attachment and respect between generations and members in a happy home; praise the faithful love of couples and the affection between husband and wife.
