Returning to his hometown, after learning that the locality had a Cho Ke land in village 7, Linh Son commune, which used to be an old handmade brick kiln that had been abandoned and left fallow, Mr. Hao asked the locality to bid for 2.7 hectares of this land at a price of 18 million VND/year to build a farm. With the accumulated capital, he borrowed an additional 80 million VND from the farmer support fund and his brothers to invest in renovating the barren, uneven land to build a chicken farm and dig a pond to raise fish.
The early days were really difficult, hard, lacking capital, experience and human resources. However, with his youth, hard work, determination and learning, he succeeded. The first batch of chickens he tried to raise was 1,000 hybrid fighting chickens, after 3 months he sold 2.5 tons, he earned 180 million VND, after deducting expenses he earned nearly 50 million VND in profit.
According to Mr. Hao's experience, to raise chickens effectively, he has applied bio-safety chicken farming, using bedding made of rice husks or sawdust and probiotics. In addition, he also focuses on disease prevention and control and cleans the barn.
