ATM was planted with 10 mines, nearly 1,000 workers urgently evacuated
Authorities discovered 10 mines (about 3kg) with intact detonators. The suspects broke the door of the technical room and hid them behind money boxes, waiting for the right moment to detonate them.
The leader of the Uong Bi City Police, Quang Ninh, said this afternoon that the scene of the suspected mine has been sealed off, and nearly 1,000 workers of the Nam Mau Coal Company have been urgently evacuated.

Accordingly, when checking the ATM of Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB), located next to the CT1 apartment building of Nam Mau Coal Company workers (Yen Thanh ward, Uong Bi city), the bank staff discovered 4 small round bars, suspected to be mines with pins.
Uong Bi City has dispatched police and fire forces, and sealed off the scene to avoid any bad situations.
According to the authorities, when approaching the ATM, they discovered 10 mines (about 3kg) directly connected by wires. These mines still had their detonators intact. The subjects broke the door of the technical room and hid them behind money boxes, waiting for the right moment to detonate them.

By 2:30 p.m., the mines had been removed. All ATMs in Uong Bi City are being inspected.
According to authorities, the suspects planted the bomb at the ATM in the morning and waited until night to detonate it.
"Around the ATM area, we collected fingerprints and seized cameras to serve the investigation," said a representative of Quang Ninh Provincial Police.
