Stick to key goals to improve the effectiveness of propaganda work

On the morning of July 10, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department held an online conference to review propaganda work in the first 6 months of the year, deploy tasks for the last 6 months of the year and a regular Reporters' Conference in July 2020. The conference was connected to 20 connecting points in districts and towns in the province. Perform key tasks well

In the first 6 months of the year, propaganda work has been deployed comprehensively, synchronously, promptly, with focus and key points, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development goals of the whole province.

In which, well performing key tasks such as proactively advising and proposing to help the Party Committee issue leadership documents, closely directing the political tasks of the province and the locality. Actively deploying and completing tasks serving the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Congress of the Party.

Timely organize the study, dissemination and propaganda of the Party's resolutions, directives and conclusions effectively; the work of directing, orienting and improving the quality of propaganda is carried out in all political, economic, social, defense, security and foreign affairs fields and strengthen coordination with departments, branches and sectors in performing propaganda tasks in each field.

The team of reporters and propagandists has actively grasped public opinion, the ideological situation of cadres, party members and people in the area, promptly reflected and proposed solutions to handle outstanding issues of public concern, contributing to ensuring political and ideological stability.

Propaganda work has strengthened the fight against "peaceful evolution" plots and activities, maintained national solidarity, ensured national defense and security, contributed to protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and actively and effectively carried out information, propaganda, culture, arts, theory, history, and science and education tasks.

At the conference, representatives of the Propaganda Department of the districts: Yen Thanh, Que Phong, Thanh Chuong, Nghi Loc, Vinh University Party Committee, Provincial Police... spoke, focusing on clarifying the outstanding results, good models, good practices in their localities and units. At the same time, they pointed out a number of limitations and difficulties that need to be resolved in the coming time.

Bringing propaganda work into depth

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department acknowledged the results achieved in the past time. Thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic goals of the whole province, creating a premise to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations.

In addition to those achievements, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also frankly pointed out the remaining limitations when the visual propaganda work about the congress in some places was not rich and diverse; the preparation of congress documents in some grassroots units was not thorough and complete; the progress of drafting the document contents was slow, not ensuring the prescribed time; the propaganda, study and implementation of resolutions and directives were of low quality, especially at the grassroots level.

To overcome these limitations, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested the propaganda staff of the Fatherland Front Committee and provincial-level organizations, the Propaganda Department of districts, cities, towns, affiliated Party Committees and district-level political centers to focus on implementing well the 8 key tasks in the last 6 months of the year.

Units and localities must innovate the content and implementation methods and perform well the functions of forecasting, going ahead, and paving the way to effectively advise Party committees.

Regarding the orientation of propaganda work in the coming time, the head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested that the propaganda system of the whole province should actively and responsibly participate in the preparation work for Party congresses at all levels, towards the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Congress of the Party.

The team of reporters and propagandists focused on informing and propagandizing the results of the 9th Session of the 14th National Assembly; and on the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year. At the same time, they continued to promote propaganda on Directive No. 05-CT/TW in conjunction with Resolution of the 4th Central Committee (12th tenure) on strengthening Party building and rectification.

Propaganda for major holidays and important events from now until the end of the year such as: War Invalids and Martyrs Day July 27, Vietnam Trade Union Founding Day July 28, 90th anniversary of Propaganda sector tradition (August 1, 1930 - August 1, 2020)...

It is necessary to widely disseminate the efforts of all levels and sectors in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, preventing forest fires and drowning; focusing on exams in the education sector; paying attention to disease prevention, especially the Covid-19 pandemic and protecting people's health.

Key tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of the year:

1. Advise on dissemination, study, direction, inspection and supervision of the implementation of resolutions and directives of the Central Committee and Party Committees and the work of summarizing and concluding resolutions and directives of the Central Committee and the province on propaganda work.

2. Deploy strong propaganda about party congresses at all levels, the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress.

3. Guide the propaganda to celebrate major holidays, important political events, resolutions and directives of the Central and the province. Comprehensive propaganda of political, economic, social, defense, security and foreign affairs fields associated with continuing to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic...

4. Strengthen the direction, management, and orientation of press information, publishing, and handling of press issues.

5. Advise on the effective implementation of the tasks of the standing agency of the foreign information steering committee and Steering Committee 35; Organize training on combating and refuting the distorted arguments of hostile forces in cyberspace.

6. Strengthen coordination with sectors in the science and education sector in advising, directing, and orienting scientific and education fields in the province. Advise the Party Committee to promote the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW in conjunction with Resolution of the Central Committee 4 (term XII) on strengthening Party building and rectification.

7. Advise and direct the effective implementation of information and public opinion work.

8. Continue to guide agencies and units in researching, compiling, publishing, reprinting, and reviewing Party history and traditional history books according to plan. Organize training on propaganda work for propaganda staff at all levels after the grassroots congresses according to the 2020 plan.
