Handing over 'Red Cross' houses to poor households in Quynh Luu

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 5, the Red Cross Society of Quynh Luu district coordinated with Quynh Tan commune to organize a ceremony to hand over a "Red Cross" house to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Cat in hamlet 13.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Cat's family has 6 members but only 2 main workers, so the family is poor and cannot afford to repair or build a house.

Sharing the difficult circumstances of the family, the district Red Cross Association coordinated with the locality to support the cost of building a house and after 4 months of construction with the help of mass organizations and people, the 3-room house with an area of ​​83 m2 was completed and promptly handed over to Ms. Cat's family for use.

At the ceremony, the Red Cross Society, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Luu district and the government of Quynh Tan commune cut the ribbon and presented 50 million VND to partially support the family's house construction costs.
