Nghe An completed more than 94% of the program to eliminate dilapidated and makeshift houses for people.

With a determined and urgent spirit in supporting people to eliminate dilapidated and makeshift houses, ensuring 100% completion according to the milestone set by Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung on July 31, 2025; in week 2, June 2025 (from June 5 to June 12), the whole province continued to start construction on 188 houses (156 new houses, 32 houses repaired).

The total number of houses completed and handed over for use in week 2, May 2025 is 543 (395 newly built houses, 148 repaired houses).

Of which, the Program supports 138 houses from socialized sources (94 new houses, 44 repaired houses); two National Target Programs 141 houses (117 new houses, 24 repaired houses); the Program supports houses for people with meritorious services 264 houses (184 new houses, 80 repaired houses).

Accumulated since the implementation of the Program to mobilize and support the construction and repair of houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in the province according to Directive No. 21, dated February 10, 2023 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, by June 12, 2025, the whole province has built and repaired 19,631 houses for people (13,490 newly built houses, 6,141 repaired houses), reaching 94.01% of the total reviewed and approved demand of 20,881 houses (14,393 newly built houses, 6,488 repaired houses).

In particular, from February 2023 to the end of March 2024, the total number of newly built and repaired houses is 8,440 units (7,377 newly built, 1,063 repaired). From April 2024 to present (June 12, 2025), the total number of newly built and repaired houses is 11,191 units (6,113 newly built, 5,078 repaired).

Thus, the remaining number of houses that need to be completed before July 31, 2025 in the whole province is 1,250 (903 new houses, 347 repaired houses).

Of which, the Socialized Source Program has 319 houses (newly built 231 houses, repaired 88 houses); two National Target Programs have 285 houses (newly built 196 houses, repaired 89 houses); the Housing Support Program for people with meritorious services to the revolution has 646 houses (newly built 476 houses, repaired 170 houses).

Of the remaining houses (1,250 units), localities have started construction on 968 units (accounting for 77.44%), and have not started construction on 282 units (accounting for 22.56%).

The result of housing completion in the whole province reached 94.1%; of which 12/20 district-level units had a completion rate higher than the average of the whole province and 8/20 districts had a completion rate lower than the average of the whole province.

There are 8 units with a house completion rate lower than the province's average. Including: Nghia Dan district reached 93.90%; Vinh city reached 91.21%; Thai Hoa town reached 91.06%; Con Cuong district reached 90.66%; Tan Ky district reached 90.48%; Hung Nguyen district reached 89.88%; Thanh Chuong district reached 85.36%; Dien Chau district reached 74.55%.
