Nghe An focuses on a campaign of more than 70 days and nights to complete 4,150 houses for the poor.
As of May 15, 2025, the demand for housing in Nghe An is 4,150 units and the remaining time is only more than 70 days and nights. This puts pressure on localities to be more proactive and determined with effective solutions to reach the finish line on time.

Updated from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province in 20 districts, cities and towns; in week 3, May 2025 (from May 9 to 15, 2025), the whole province continued to start construction of 711 houses (458 new houses, 253 houses repaired).
Of which, the Program supports 78 houses from socialized sources (36 new houses, 42 houses repaired); two National Target Programs support 72 houses (48 new houses, 24 houses repaired); the Program supports houses for people with meritorious services 561 houses (374 new houses, 187 houses repaired).

Details of the number of new housing projects started in week 3, May 2025 in 16 localities (data from high to low): Dien Chau district started 187 projects (164 new projects, 23 repairs); Thanh Chuong district started 159 projects (89 new projects, 70 repairs); Tuong Duong district started 66 projects (35 new projects, 31 repairs); Hung Nguyen district started 58 projects (43 new projects, 15 repairs).
Thai Hoa town started construction of 46 houses (18 new houses, 28 repaired houses); Vinh city started construction of 46 houses (13 new houses, 33 repaired houses); Tan Ky district started construction of 41 houses (14 new houses, 27 repaired houses); Yen Thanh district started construction of 31 houses (24 new houses, 7 repaired houses).

Ky Son district started construction of 27 houses (25 new houses, 2 repaired houses); Nam Dan district started construction of 27 houses (23 new houses, 4 repaired houses); Anh Son district started construction of 13 houses (3 new houses, 10 repaired houses); Con Cuong district started construction of 4 new houses; Nghia Dan district started construction of 2 new houses; Do Luong district started construction of 2 houses (1 new house, 1 repaired house); Nghi Loc district started construction of 1 new house; Quy Hop district started construction of 1 new house.

The total number of houses completed, handed over and put into use in week 3, May 2025 in the whole province is 916 (423 newly built houses, 493 repaired houses).
Of which, the Program supports 173 houses from socialized sources (102 new houses, 71 repaired houses); two National Target Programs support 310 houses (117 new houses, 193 repaired houses); the Program supports houses for people with meritorious services 433 houses (204 new houses, 229 repaired houses).

Details of the number of houses completed, handed over, and put into use in week 3, May 2025 in 18 localities (data from high to low): Que Phong district completed 236 houses (46 newly built, 190 repaired); Tuong Duong district completed 188 houses (92 newly built, 96 repaired); Dien Chau district completed 105 houses (97 newly built, 8 repaired).
Hung Nguyen district completed 91 houses (26 new houses, 65 repaired houses); Yen Thanh district completed 88 houses (58 new houses, 30 repaired houses); Vinh city completed 67 houses (16 new houses, 51 repaired houses); Ky Son district completed 36 houses (34 new houses, 2 repaired houses); Quy Chau district completed 28 houses (17 new houses, 11 repaired houses); Anh Son district completed 26 houses (18 new houses, 8 repaired houses).

Nam Dan district completed 17 houses (10 new houses, 7 repaired houses); Hoang Mai town completed 11 houses (8 new houses, 3 repaired houses); Nghia Dan district completed 9 houses (5 new houses, 4 repaired houses); Tan Ky district completed 7 repaired houses; Do Luong district completed 6 houses (2 new houses, 4 repaired houses); Nghi Loc district completed 6 houses (2 new houses, 4 repaired houses); Con Cuong district completed 5 houses (4 new houses, 1 repaired house); Quy Hop district completed 2 houses (1 new house, 1 repaired house); Thai Hoa town completed 1 repaired house.

Cumulatively since the implementation of the housing support program for the poor and households with housing difficulties across the province according to Directive No. 21, dated February 10, 2023 of the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on Strengthening the Party's leadership in mobilizing and supporting the construction and repair of houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in the province; by May 15, the whole province had built and repaired 17,118 houses (12,057 newly built houses, 5,061 repaired houses).
Of which, the Program supports 9,578 houses from socialized sources (7,917 new houses, 1,661 houses are repaired); two National Target Programs support 6,038 houses (3,594 new houses, 2,444 houses are repaired); the Program supports houses for people with meritorious services 1,502 houses (546 new houses, 956 houses are repaired).

Comparing the total number of houses built (17,118/21,268 houses needing support for construction and repair in the 2023-2025 period, reviewed, compiled and approved (as of May 15, 2025), there are currently a total of 4,150 houses needing new construction and repair (2,592 new houses, 1,558 houses repaired).
Of which, the Socialized Source Program has 1,222 houses (809 new houses, 413 repaired houses); two National Target Programs have 811 houses (541 new houses, 270 repaired houses); the Housing Support Program for people with revolutionary contributions has 2,117 houses (1,242 new houses, 875 repaired houses).

According to the timeline for completing the construction of houses for the poor and households with housing difficulties in the province set by Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung on July 31, 2025; the remaining time is only more than 70 days with a total of 4,150 houses to be built.
This is a great pressure, especially in districts where there are a large number of unfinished houses; on the other hand, households that have not yet built houses are mostly in quite difficult circumstances. This requires localities to be more proactive and determined with effective solutions to reach the finish line on time.

Details of the remaining housing needs as of July 31, 2025 in 19 district-level units (from high to low): Tuong Duong district 663 houses (313 new houses, 350 repaired houses); Dien Chau district 594 houses (424 new houses, 170 repaired houses); Con Cuong district 431 houses (283 new houses, 148 repaired houses).
Thanh Chuong district: 430 houses (206 newly built, 224 repaired); Yen Thanh district: 402 houses (276 newly built, 126 repaired); Ky Son district: 317 houses (279 newly built, 38 repaired); Quy Chau district: 311 houses (235 newly built, 76 repaired); Vinh city: 227 houses (108 newly built, 119 repaired).
Tan Ky district 160 houses (84 newly built, 76 repaired); Hung Nguyen district 140 houses (80 newly built, 60 repaired); Anh Son district 91 houses (56 newly built, 35 repaired); Nghi Loc district 78 houses (53 newly built, 25 repaired); Que Phong district 78 houses (53 newly built, 25 repaired); Nghia Dan district 66 houses (47 newly built, 19 repaired); Thai Hoa town 56 houses (22 newly built, 34 repaired); Do Luong district 52 houses (39 newly built, 13 repaired); Nam Dan district 30 newly built houses; Quynh Luu district 13 newly built houses; Quynh Hop district 13 houses (7 newly built, 6 repaired).
Hoang Mai town alone is the first unit in the province to complete 100% of housing for people, with a total of 100 houses.

In week 3, May 2025, district-level units received 7,706 million VND from three sources: meritorious people; national target programs and socialized sources.
The districts have also disbursed funds for housing construction for people from three sources: meritorious people, national target program sources and socialized sources with a total of 22,951 million VND.
