Nghe An: 89/130 communes and wards completed the elimination of dilapidated and makeshift houses for the poor.

As of July 11, 2025, Nghe An province had 89/130 communes and wards completing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, reaching 68.46% of commune-level units in the whole province.

In week 2, July 2025, from July 5-11, localities in the province continued to build houses for the poor and people with difficult housing circumstances with a total of 80 houses (53 newly built, 27 repaired) completed, handed over and put into use.

Of which, the Program supports 18 houses from socialized sources (14 new houses, 4 houses repaired); 2 National Target Programs support 9 houses (5 new houses, 4 houses repaired); the Program supports houses for people with meritorious services 53 houses (34 new houses, 19 houses repaired).

Thanks to that, in week 2, July 2025, the whole province has 7 more localities completing the Program. Eliminate temporary, dilapidated, makeshift houses; increase the total number of communes and wards that have completed the work to 89/130 units. reaching 68.46% of commune-level units in the whole province.

Cumulative results in nearly 2 and a half years of implementing the Program to mobilize and support the poor and households with housing difficulties in the province, from February 2023 to July 11, 2025, the whole province has built and repaired 20,532 houses for people. (14,157 new units built, 6,375 units repaired)/total demand for the entire period approved by localities is 20,818 units, reaching 98.63%.

Of which, the Program from socialized sources built 10,611 houses (8,568 new houses, 2,043 houses repaired); 2 National Target Programs built 6,900 houses (4,269 new houses, 2,631 houses repaired); the Housing Support Program for Meritorious People built 3,021 houses (1,175 new houses, 1,640 houses repaired).

Thus, comparing the total approved demand for the 2023 - 2025 period and the completed results, the whole province still has 286 houses that need to be completed before July 31, 2025, in 41 communes and wards. (build 236 new apartments, repair 50 apartments).

Of which, the Program from socialized sources has 67 houses (52 new houses, 15 repaired houses); two National Target Programs have 50 houses (44 new houses, 6 repaired houses); the Program to support houses for people with meritorious services has 169 houses (140 new houses, 29 repaired houses).

Of the total 286 unfinished houses, 247 have started construction and 39 have not started construction (in 14 communes and wards).

Details of 41 communes and wards that have not completed housing for the poor (from high to low): Nga My commune 34 houses (30 newly built, 4 repaired); Hai Chau commune 28 houses (24 newly built, 4 repaired); Mon Son commune 26 houses (18 newly built, 8 repaired); My Ly commune 22 houses (20 newly built, 2 repaired).

Duc Chau commune: 18 houses (15 newly built, 3 repaired); Luong Minh commune: 17 houses (13 newly built, 4 repaired); Quang Chau commune: 12 houses (9 newly built, 3 repaired); Lam Thanh commune: 11 houses (8 newly built, 3 repaired); Vinh Loc ward: 9 houses (6 newly built, 3 repaired); An Chau commune: 8 houses (5 newly built, 3 repaired); Tan Chau commune: 8 houses (6 newly built, 2 repaired); Huu Khuong commune: 8 houses (5 newly built, 3 repaired).

Tan Phu commune: 7 newly built houses; Bich Hao commune: 6 houses (2 newly built houses, 4 repaired houses); Hung Chau commune: 6 newly built houses; Yen Thanh commune: 5 houses (4 newly built houses, 1 repaired house); Vinh Hung ward: 5 newly built houses; Cua Lo ward: 5 houses (4 newly built houses, 1 repaired house).

There are 3 communes with 4 newly built houses, including: Hop Minh, Cat Ngan, Hoa Quan and Dai Dong; Van Tu commune has 3 houses left (2 newly built houses, 1 repaired house).

There are 4 communes with 3 newly built houses, including: Tam Dong, Hung Nguyen, Tan Ky and Tan An; there are 5 communes and wards with 2 newly built houses, including: Xuan Lam, Truong Vinh, Muong Quang, Dien Chau and Hung Nguyen Nam; Yen Trung commune has 2 houses (1 newly built house, 1 repaired house).

There are 8 communes and wards with 1 newly built house, including: Quang Dong, Quan Thanh, Vinh Phu, Mau Thach, Quynh Son, Quynh Luu, Quynh Van and Nghia Dong.

To ensure the completion of the Program to mobilize and support the construction of houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in the province before July 31, 2025 as planned, the Provincial Steering Committee continues to direct, urge and guide localities to speed up the construction progress of houses that have not yet started, and at the same time speed up the construction and repair progress of houses for those that have been started to complete and hand over to people immediately after completion.

The Provincial Steering Committee will also coordinate with localities to promptly allocate funds for arising cases; supplement counterpart funds for localities to ensure timely and correct funding.
