Nghe An completes 84.5% of progress in supporting housing construction for the poor
In more than 2 years of implementing the program to mobilize and support the construction of houses for the poor and households with housing difficulties, from February 2023 to May 22, 2025, Nghe An has completed supporting the construction and repair of 17,935/21,226 houses, reaching 84.5%.
The progress of building houses for the poor and households with housing difficulties in the province is being accelerated in localities in Nghe An province.
The results were compiled by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province in 19 districts, cities, and towns (except Hoang Mai town, which has completed 100%) in week 4, May 2025 (from May 16 to 22, 2025), the whole province continued to start construction on 490 houses (144 new houses, 346 houses repaired).
Of which, the socialized support program supports 32 houses (19 new houses, 13 repaired houses); 2 national target programs support 30 houses (18 new houses, 12 repaired houses); the housing support program for meritorious people supports 428 houses (107 new houses, 321 repaired houses).
The total number of houses completed, handed over and put into use in week 4, May 2025 in the whole province is 832 (384 newly built houses, 448 repaired houses).
Of which, the Program supports 287 houses from socialized sources (173 new houses, 114 repaired houses); 2 national target programs support 212 houses (143 new houses, 69 repaired houses); the Program supports houses for people with meritorious services with 333 houses (68 new houses, 265 repaired houses).
Cumulatively since the implementation of the Program to mobilize and support the poor and households with housing difficulties in Nghe An province (Provincial Program 1838) from February 2023 to May 22, 2025, Nghe An province has completed support for the construction and repair of 17,935/21,226 houses, reaching 84.50%.
Of which, the socialized support program completed 9,865/10,798 houses, reaching 91.36%; support from 2 national target programs completed 6,251/6,849 houses, reaching 91.27%; the program for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs completed 1,819/3,579 houses, reaching 50.82%.
The whole province currently has a total of 3,291 households in need of new construction and repair (2,195 new houses, 1,096 houses repaired).
Of which, the socialized source program has 933 houses (635 new houses, 298 houses repaired); 2 national target programs have 598 houses (397 new houses, 201 houses repaired); the housing support program for people with revolutionary contributions has 1,760 houses (1,163 new houses, 597 houses repaired).
Details of the remaining housing needs as of July 31, 2025 in 19 district-level units (from high to low): Tuong Duong district 545 houses (263 new houses, 282 repaired houses); Dien Chau district 455 houses (416 new houses, 39 repaired houses); Con Cuong district 410 houses (278 new houses, 132 repaired houses); Yen Thanh district 341 houses (250 new houses, 91 repaired houses); Thanh Chuong district 305 houses (145 new houses, 160 repaired houses).
Quy Chau district 201 houses (173 newly built, 28 repaired); Vinh city 191 houses (102 newly built, 89 repaired); Ky Son district 185 houses (155 newly built, 30 repaired); Tan Ky district 138 houses (81 newly built, 57 repaired); Hung Nguyen district 120 houses (71 newly built, 49 repaired); Que Phong district 76 houses (37 newly built, 39 repaired); Nghi Loc district 75 houses (50 newly built, 25 repaired).
Anh Son district 68 houses (42 newly built, 26 repaired); Nghia Dan district 55 houses (41 newly built, 14 repaired); Do Luong district 49 houses (36 newly built, 13 repaired); Thai Hoa town 40 houses (19 newly built, 21 repaired); Nam Dan district 26 newly built houses; Quynh Luu district 10 newly built houses; Quynh Hop district 1 newly built house.
In week 4, May 2025, the provincial level received 13,765 million VND in support from socialized sources; of which, 11,265 million VND was received from the Binh Duong Provincial Fund for the Poor Mobilization Committee and 2,500 million VND from the Vietnam Cement Corporation.
District-level units received 18,274 million VND from 3 sources: meritorious people; national target program source and socialized source.
The districts have also disbursed funds to build housing for people from three sources: meritorious people, national target program sources and socialized sources with a total of 15,141 million VND.
