Handing over Great Solidarity houses to poor households in Hung Loc commune

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 25, Vinh City Red Cross Association and Hung Loc Commune Red Cross Association organized the handover of a solidarity house to Mr. Le Ngoc Phu in Xuan Hung hamlet, Hung Loc commune.

Mr. Le Ngoc Phu is a poor veteran, currently living with his younger brother in a cramped, dilapidated house left by his parents. Sharing and expressing gratitude to the person who has contributed to the peace of the country, the City Red Cross Association, Hung Loc Commune Red Cross Association, mass organizations, and people of Xuan Hung hamlet have donated nearly 65 million VND to build a solidarity house for Mr. Le Ngoc Phu.

Of which, the City Red Cross Association supported 30 million VND, the people of Xuan Hung hamlet 17 million VND, the rest was contributed by mass organizations of Hung Loc commune. The house has an area of ​​40m2.², roofed with heat-resistant corrugated iron, total construction value 74 million VND.

On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross Association also presented 10 million VND to veteran Le Ngoc Phu. It is known that this is the third house that the City Red Cross Association has handed over. It is expected that in 2016, 6 houses will be built, with a support amount of 180 million VND, of which Hung Loc commune will build 2 houses in Xuan Hung hamlet and Duc Thinh hamlet.
