The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee approved the Plan to implement the Politburo's Notice.

On the morning of June 2, at the regular meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee listened to, commented on and approved the Plan to implement Notice No. 55 - TB/TW (Notice No. 55) dated April 20, 2019 of the Politburo on the preliminary review of 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 26 - NQ/TW (Resolution No. 26) of the 11th Politburo on the direction and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020. Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.

Strive to complete the set goals and tasks

The objective of the Plan is to further promote the achieved results, determined to overcome limitations and shortcomings; thereby continuing to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the goals, orientations, tasks and solutions identified in Resolution No. 26; synchronously, comprehensively, with quality and effectiveness, the main tasks in Notice No. 55; striving to complete the goals and tasks of developing Nghe An province according to Resolution No. 26 by 2023.

The plan also contributes to creating a strong change in awareness of the position and role of Nghe An province in the North Central region and the whole country; continuing to promote the historical and cultural traditions, potentials, strengths of natural resources and people of Nghe An in building and developing the province; demonstrating the aspiration and determination to rise up strongly, make greater efforts, create new momentum, overcome difficulties to build and develop Nghe An province in accordance with its role as the central province of the North Central region.

On the afternoon of March 21, 2019, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, the Politburo had a working session with the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to review 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 26/NQ-TW on directions and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020.

On April 20, 2019, the Politburo issued Notice No. 55 - TB/TW on the 5-year review of the implementation of Resolution No. 26 - NQ/TW of the 11th Politburo on the direction and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020.

The plan sets out 6 specific tasks, in which the province will focus on building development plans and 5-year plans; supplementing and perfecting mechanisms and policies to promote administrative reforms, strongly improve the investment and business environment, enhance the efficiency of investment attraction, and develop enterprises to promote all capabilities, mobilize all resources of economic sectors, and create clear changes in the province's socio-economic development.

In particular, Nghe An prioritizes investment resources to develop Vinh city comprehensively and modernly, soon becoming a smart city, a growth engine, an innovation center of the province and the North Central region; creating close and effective links to develop the North Nghe An - South Thanh Hoa and South Nghe An - North Ha Tinh regions; continuing to implement policies to support the development of Western Nghe An.

Actively attract investment capital

Issued with the Plan is an appendix assigning specific tasks for each work content associated with goals and requirements; assigning direction, leadership, and coordination.

Accordingly, to implement Notice No. 55 of the Politburo, Nghe An identified 12 key tasks such as: developing the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision 2045, immediately building the socio-economic part, associated with a general review and promulgation of policies and mechanisms for the next period.

Concluding this content, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized the importance of developing a Plan to specify the contents and effectively implement Notice No. 55 for the results of implementing the goals and orientations that Resolution No. 26 set for Nghe An.

In particular, one of the key areas for economic development is investment, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh noted, all levels and sectors need to continue implementing solutions to create a favorable business environment, promote the development of local enterprises; at the same time, proactively and effectively attract investors, especially in the context of the current clear flow of investment capital into Vietnam.

Also in the working program, the Provincial Party Standing Committee listened to and gave opinions, and approved many other important contents.
