(Baonghean.vn) - Revolutionary press with the criteria of both building and highlighting positive aspects, and reflecting on the current inadequate situations. Therefore, press and media agencies need to know how to balance the amount of information, avoiding the situation of "too much darkness, too little light".

On the morning of April 5, comrades Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Information and Communications chaired the April press conference. In March, Nghe An press agencies provided full, timely and diverse information on the political situation, economic, cultural and social life in the locality in the first quarter of 2017 such as: Conference to review self-criticism and criticism according to Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XII) in localities in the province; activities of the Nghe An Provincial Delegation attending the 20th Summit of 9 provinces of 3 countries Vietnam - Laos - Thailand using Highway 8 and Highway 12 in Bung Can province, Kingdom of Thailand; the attention and close involvement of Nghe An Provincial leaders in reforming the investment environment and creating conditions for businesses to survey and seek investment opportunities in the province; activities to celebrate the founding day of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; violations of traffic safety and order; mobilization to reclaim sidewalks for pedestrians, etc.

In particular, media agencies and newspapers have promptly responded to "hot" issues in the first quarter of 2017 such as the incident of the dam burst at the Suoi Bac tin mine in Quy Hop; refuted the accusations, fabrications, distortions, and misrepresentations of the truth, and took advantage of the marine environmental pollution incident in some central provinces by some organizations to disrupt security and order in the province.

At the conference, the opinions and contributions of press representatives focused on reflecting the situation of illegal construction projects in the province; the issue of responsibility for speaking and providing information to press agencies; the press reflected the situation of encroachment and illegal use of land but the authorities have not yet had a definitive solution; some electronic news sites used and posted illegal news... In particular, the content of propaganda for the 2017 national high school exam received much attention and discussion from delegates.

Regarding the career orientation and orientation for high school students, journalist Van Hien - Nha Bao Newspaper and public opinion said that "The most important thing in the education sector today is how to help university graduates have jobs after graduating from university".

Journalist Dinh Anh from Education and Times Newspaper expressed his concern over the news that Phan Boi Chau High School will open two more specialized classes, including Japanese language classes. Opening more Japanese means introducing a new foreign language into the school or opening a separate specialized class.

This journalist asked what criteria Phan Boi Chau School would use to evaluate students' Japanese proficiency when enrolling in these specialized classes if it were an independent specialized class. In fact, in Nghe An province, even at the elementary and middle school levels, there is no school that teaches Japanese.

Comrade Ho Phuc Hop answered the delegates' opinions and outlined the propaganda directions for April. Accordingly, press agencies need to focus on propagating the implementation of Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee; increase coverage of Party building at all levels; implement Resolution 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An; promote investment promotion activities and site clearance and administrative reform in the province; continue to promote tourist destinations and scenic spots in Nghe An and the 2017 Cua Lo Sea Tourism Festival.
