Arrested 2 subjects for storing fireworks, found the 'boss' who hid fireworks in wardrobes and beds

Quy Hop District Police said that they have just arrested a group of people who bought, sold, and stored 17 kg of firecrackers for use during the 2020 Lunar New Year.

Specifically: Around noon on December 16, from information from the people, the authorities conducted an administrative inspection and caught Pham Quang Kien (born 2002), residing in Xuan Son hamlet (Van Loi), Tran Ngoc Tien (born 2003), residing in Na Xen hamlet, Chau Quang commune, illegally storing 7 packages of firecrackers weighing nearly 1.5 kg on Provincial Road 532 in Quang Thinh hamlet, Chau Quang commune.

Based on the statements of Kien and Tien, the police carried out an emergency search warrant at the house of Tran Thi Nghe (born 1976), residing in Quang Thinh hamlet, Chau Quang commune, seizing 36-round firecrackers, firecrackers, ball-shaped fireworks, 2 mobile phones and 2 motorbikes.

During the investigation, Kien and Tien confessed that they bought the fireworks from Tran Thi Nghe. At the investigation agency of Quy Hop District Police, Nghe confessed that they bought them from an unknown person in Quynh Luu District. Nghe kept the fireworks in the wardrobe, bed... at his house to sell for profit and use during the Tet Canh Ty 2020, but before he could sell them, he was arrested by the authorities. The total amount of fireworks seized from the subjects was more than 17 kg.

Currently, the police investigation agency of Quy Hop district police has decided to temporarily detain suspect Tran Thi Nghe to continue investigating and expanding the case.
