On February 1, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Phuc Tu - Head of Tuong Duong District Police said that the unit had just arrested Ngo Van Ngoc (born in 1973), residing in Phat Diem town, Ninh Binh province and Hoang Van Tu (born in 1994), residing in Phu Ngoc commune, Luong Noi district, Cao Bang province to investigate and clarify the act of illegal drug trafficking. The seized exhibits included 184.5 grams of crystal meth, 67.4 grams of heroin and 0.55 grams of synthetic drugs.

Previously, at the end of 2017, through professional work, the Tuong Duong District Police discovered a number of subjects coming to Tuong Duong District to buy drugs to transport to other provinces for consumption. Realizing that the information was well-founded, the Tuong Duong District Police established a special project with the code 418M to fight and eradicate.

At around 2:00 p.m. on January 29, the Task Force discovered a subject taking a bus to Tuong Duong district, then walking into the mountainous forest area of ​​Ang village, Xa Luong commune to find a source to buy drugs. At 5:00 p.m. the same day, the Task Force caught the subject in possession of 184.5 grams of crystal meth, 11.4 grams of heroin, and 0.55 grams of synthetic drugs.

At the investigation agency, the subject confessed that his name was Ngo Van Ngoc (born in 1973), residing in Thuong Khiem street, Phat Diem town, Ninh Binh province, and was on his way to buy drugs from Tuong Duong to bring back to Ninh Binh province for consumption.

Also during this time, another attack team of Tuong Duong District Police secretly tracked down another subject in the previously established 518M project.

At around 2:00 p.m. on January 30, the Task Force arrested Hoang Van Tu (born in 1994), residing in Phu Ngoc Commune, Luong Noi District, Cao Bang Province, while waiting for a bus to the North on National Highway 7A, passing through Ang Village, Xa Luong Commune. The seized evidence included 56 grams of heroin, 1 small scale, and 1 mobile phone.

Initially, the subject confessed that he took advantage of the days before Tet to take a bus from Cao Bang to Nghe An to buy drugs to bring back to his hometown to resell for profit./.
