Quynh Luu mobile trial of 4 young men organizing drug use and trafficking
On October 25, at the Quynh Van Commune Cultural House, the Quynh Luu District People's Court opened a mobile trial of four defendants, all residing in Quynh Van Commune, for the crime of "Organizing illegal use and illegal trading of narcotics".
According to the indictment, on the afternoon of March 4, 2024, due to the need to illegally use drugs, Ho Sy Loi, residing in village 19, took a bus from Quynh Van commune to Cau Ho area in Thanh Hoa province to buy 10 pink pills of drugs for 700,000 VND.

After buying, Loi took a bus home and took out 1 pill of drugs to use, and kept the rest for later use. On the evening of March 4, 2024, Vo Cong Duc and Le Duc Tuan went to a wedding together in village 12, Quynh Van commune. There, Duc invited Tuan and Nguyen Canh Ngoc to contribute money to buy drugs to use. Then Tuan called Ho Sy Loi to ask to buy drugs.
At the same time, Le Van Hoi, residing in village 15, Quynh Tan commune, also called Tuan to ask him to buy drugs for a friend. After buying 8 pills of drugs from Loi, Tuan called Hoi to arrange to deliver 4 pills of drugs at Hoang Mai bridge area in Mai Hung ward, Hoang Mai town.

With the remaining 4 pills of drugs, a group of 3 people including Tuan, Duc, and Ngoc organized illegal drug use at Duc's house. At about 1:00 a.m. on March 5, the subjects were discovered and caught red-handed by the Quynh Luu District Police Working Group.
After learning that the subjects who illegally purchased drugs were arrested, Ho Sy Loi fled. On July 1, 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of Quynh Luu District Police issued a wanted notice for Loi. On August 11, 2024, Ho Sy Loi surrendered. During the investigation as well as at the trial, the defendants confessed honestly and repented of their crimes.

At the end of the trial, the People's Court of Quynh Luu district sentenced the two defendants Vo Cong Duc and Le Duc Tuan to 7 years and 6 months in prison each; and defendant Nguyen Canh Ngoc to 7 years in prison, both for organizing illegal drug use. Defendant Ho Sy Loi was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison for illegal drug trafficking.
