According to initial information, Ms. Pham Thi Hoang Oanh (born in 1980), residing in village 3, Phu Hoa town, had just bought a liquidated rubber plantation in Kon So Lang village (Ha Tay commune) and was sending people to exploit it. Knowing this information, the above group of subjects met and threatened Ms. Oanh many times, demanding by phone that she pay 50 million VND (equivalent to 20,000 VND/rubber tree). Otherwise, they would sabotage and prevent exploitation and transportation. Due to fear, Ms. Oanh stopped exploiting.
At around 5:00 p.m. on November 12, when the subjects were receiving VND39 million from Ms. Oanh, they were caught red-handed by the police. It is known that all 6 subjects above had previous convictions for robbery, intentional injury, theft, and illegal possession of drugs.
