Gang of thieves arrested, dozens of robberies in just 3 months
During the day, the gang gathered at a fish shooting game shop, and at night, they split up to rob, bringing the stolen property back to the game shop to divide among themselves or sell to the shop owner. In just three months, this group committed dozens of crimes.

On the morning of September 1, the Investigation Police of Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City announced that they had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and temporarily detained Nguyen Minh Trung (aka Trung “móm”, 24 years old, residing in Dak Nong province), Pham Quoc (26 years old, residing in Binh Thuan province), Le Tien Thanh (35 years old), Nguyen Quang Ha (32 years old) and Nguyen Quoc Dinh Chuong (30 years old, all residing in Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate the acts of theft and robbery.
In addition, the Investigation Police of Binh Thanh District Police also prosecuted and temporarily detained Nguyen Van Hung (33 years old, residing in Bac Giang province, owner of the Ngu Phu fish shooting game shop, Ward 12, Binh Thanh District) to investigate the act of consuming property obtained by others through crime.
According to Binh Thanh District Police, recently there have been many cases of theft and robbery in the district, so the district police have established a special project to combat them.
After a period of reconnaissance, in the early morning of July 28, when Trung and Ha were driving a motorbike to the Ngu Phu fish shooting game shop, they were arrested by the police.
At the investigation agency, both admitted that the motorbike had just been stolen from a house on Dinh Bo Linh Street (Ward 26, Binh Thanh District).
Through investigation, both of them revealed that Quoc, Thanh, and Chuong were accomplices when the group committed seven thefts and robberies together in just three months.
Expanding the investigation, Binh Thanh District Police successively arrested other subjects: Quoc, Thanh, Chuong and Hung.
Searching Hung's fish shooting game shop, the police seized many related exhibits and 28 motorbikes of various types of unknown origin and ownership.
This gang of robbers, led by Trung “móm”, often gathered in the Ngu Phu fish shooting game shop. During the day, the gang would take shelter, eat, sleep, and play fish shooting games. At night, the gang would split up to “buy goods”. Then, they would bring the illegal assets back to the game shop to divide among themselves or sell them to Hung for consumption.
According to Binh Thanh District Police, this gang of robbers, although young, has many criminal records. Thanh has 4 previous convictions for theft, robbery and murder. Chuong also has 3 previous convictions for robbery.
