The four arrested subjects include: Pham Hau Giang (born in 1998), residing in Hamlet 12, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City; Vi Van Tuan (born in 2004), residing in Bong Village, Chau Thuan Commune, Quy Chau District; Le Quang Huy (born in 2003), residing in Block 7, Quan Bau Ward, Vinh City; Nguyen Van Thang (born in 2003), residing in Hamlet 3, Thanh Lam Commune, Thanh Chuong District.

Previously, through investigation and verification, Nghi Loc District Police identified a mobile group of people who specialized in stealing motorbikes and snatching property from passersby. This group divided into pairs and rode motorbikes on the roads in Vinh City, Nghi Loc, Cua Lo... When they discovered passersby with bags or phones left unattended, the subjects would approach to commit the robbery.

If discovered and chased by the people, this group of subjects are ready to use the weapons they carry to fight back fiercely to escape. Based on that reality, Nghi Loc District Police have established a special project to fight.

Through studying the subjects' operating patterns and applying a combination of professional measures, the task force established the subjects as Pham Hau Giang, Vi Van Tuan, Le Quang Huy and Nguyen Van Thang.

At around 7:00 p.m. on May 26, Nghi Loc District Police coordinated with Hung Dong Commune Police and Nghi Phu Commune Police (Vinh City) to successfully break up the case and arrest the four suspects.

During the process of working with the subjects, the Investigation Police Agency initially determined: Pham Hau Giang (the subject who just completed his prison term in 2020 for robbery) played the leading role.

From the beginning of April 2021 to now, the group of Giang, Tuan, Thang, Huy has committed more than 15 inter-district and inter-provincial motorbike thefts; carried out 6 robberies in Nghi Loc, Vinh City, Cua Lo Town... The stolen and robbed properties were brought to Hanoi City for sale with a total loss of over 300 million VND.

Initially, the investigation agency seized a number of stolen and snatched items by this group, including: 7 motorbikes, 4 mobile phones of various types, 1 set of tools used to break motorbike locks, 2 handbags, more than 10 million VND and other evidence related to the cases.

Currently, the subjects are being detained for further investigation.
