Arrested a man and woman trafficking drugs from Nghe An to Quang Nam

On March 12, the Investigation Police Agency of Yen Thanh District (Nghe An) issued a decision to prosecute two suspects for trafficking heroin from Western Nghe An to the southern provinces for consumption.

Previously, from mid-January 2019, through the work of grasping the situation combined with professional measures, Yen Thanh District Police (Nghe An) discovered a drug trafficking and transportation ring from Tuong Duong District, passing through Anh Son, Do Luong, Yen Thanh districts to Quang Nam province for consumption, led by Ho Duc Quynh (21 years old), residing in Tam Ky city, Quang Nam. After a period of inspection and verification, Project 1819H was established to combat and dismantle this ring.

Major Bui Van Ngoc - Deputy Chief of Yen Thanh District Police, Deputy Head of the Project Committee said: During the investigation, the detectives encountered many difficulties because Ho Duc Quynh was from another province, had a wide range of activities, and traded drugs with subjects in all provinces and cities across the country.

Although young, Quynh's modus operandi is very sophisticated and cunning, with many tricks to deal with the police and is ready to fight back fiercely when discovered and arrested.

From understanding the subject's method of operation, his recklessness and understanding the terrain of Quynh's drug transportation route, the Task Force deployed a plan to "catch" the subject when he transported the "goods" from Tuong Duong to Yen Thanh district.

After many days of persistently tracking all movements of the subjects, using professional measures, the Task Force determined that on February 26, 2019, Ho Duc Quynh would go to Tuong Duong to buy drugs. Realizing that the opportunity to solve the case had come, the Task Force held a meeting and outlined plans to arrest the subject.

When correctly identifying the subject going from Anh Son, through Con Cuong to Tuong Duong to buy drugs, the Task Force decided to arrest the subject on the way back. Because if the arrest was made in Tuong Duong, the probability of success would not be high because the information about the drug trading location of Quynh and the subjects in Tuong Duong was not specific and accurate; the area of ​​Tuong Duong district is large and dangerous, the reconnaissance is easily exposed, the subject can easily escape.

After two days and nights of surveillance, at 0:30 on February 28, 2019, in My Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, the Investigation Police Agency of Yen Thanh district arrested Ho Duc Quynh when he was using a car to illegally transport drugs from Tuong Duong to Yen Thanh. They seized 1 heroin cake, 2 heroin sticks (weighing 450g), 1 mobile phone, 1 car and nearly 2 million VND.

Immediately after arresting and taking statements from Ho Duc Quynh to uncover other links in the case, the Investigation Police Agency of Yen Thanh District Police sent another reconnaissance team to Tuong Duong to arrest the remaining subjects in the ring. The investigation team arrested and urgently searched the residence of Vi Thi Hong (35 years old), residing in Dua village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district - the subject who sold drugs to Ho Duc Quynh. At Vi Thi Hong's house, the police force seized 2 mobile phones and 280 million VND (of which 205 million VND was the money from selling drugs to Ho Duc Quynh).

At the Yen Thanh District Police Investigation Agency, Ho Duc Quynh and Vy Thi Hong admitted all their crimes. Currently, the Yen Thanh District Police Investigation Agency is continuing to investigate and complete the case file for legal handling./.
