Arrest of a subject transporting illegal fireworks from Laos to Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 3, Phuc Son Border Guard Station said that the unit had just coordinated with functional forces to arrest a subject transporting illegal fireworks from Laos to Nghe An.

Phuc Son Border Guard Station took the suspect's statement.

At 9:50 p.m. on February 2, at Cao Veu checkpoint in Phuc Son commune (Anh Son), patrol forces of Phuc Son Border Guard Station discovered and arrested Ha Van Tam, a Thai ethnic, born in 1985, residing in hamlet 12, Hoa Son commune (Anh Son) while transporting 27 kg of firecrackers from Laos to Vietnam for sale. The types of firecrackers the subject brought back were mainly fireworks and firecrackers originating from China.

Subject Ha Van Tam and the evidence were arrested.

At the investigation agency, the subject confessed to buying fireworks from Laos to sell for profit during Tet.

Immediately after the authorities arrested the suspects, the leaders of Anh Son district were present at the Border Guard Station, congratulating and praising the soldiers' achievements and giving them a bonus of 5 million VND.
