Nearly 400 kg of fireworks were seized from Kon Tum to Nghe An for sale.
(Baonghean.vn) - The two subjects confessed that they took advantage of the time when the firecracker market was not "hot" enough, and that the authorities would not conduct strict inspections, so they decided to transport a large quantity of firecrackers from Kon Tum to Nghe An for sale.
On the afternoon of November 5, 2018, the Environmental Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) coordinated with the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Provincial Police and other professional units to detect and arrest a case of transporting explosive fireworks, seizing nearly 400kg of various types of fireworks.

Receiving information from the public about two subjects transporting firecrackers by personal car from Kon Tum to Nghe An for sale, the Environmental Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police planned to intercept and arrest them.
Accordingly, at around 3:00 p.m. the same day, at Ben Thuy toll station (Vinh City), when discovering a white Hyundai i10 car with license plate 82A-03293 running from Ha Tinh to Vinh with suspicious signs, the working group including the Environmental Police Department in coordination with the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police stopped the car for inspection.
Upon inspection, the working group discovered many boxes of foreign-made fireworks (including 36-round and 49-round fireworks and string fireworks) in the trunk and in the seats, with a total weight of 380kg.

Although they had passed through many checkpoints from Kon Tum to Ha Tinh and thought they would reach the gathering point safely, when they arrived at Ben Thuy Toll Station, they saw police vehicles approaching from both sides and caught them red-handed. The two subjects confessed to all their crimes.
The case is currently under further investigation by the authorities.
