Stepfather arrested for brutally abusing his wife's 3-year-old child
Seeing his wife's stepchild crying, the stepfather got angry, closed the door and beat the child, causing serious injuries.

On the evening of August 16, Phu Quoc District Police (Kien Giang) announced that the Investigation Police Agency had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and issued an order to temporarily detain Vo Huyen Anh (22 years old, residing in Ward 8, An Thoi Town, Phu Quoc District, Kien Giang) to investigate the act of "Intentionally causing injury". The victim was identified as LHH (3 years old, Anh's wife's stepchild).
According to initial investigation, on the evening of August 11, Anh saw H. crying and refusing to take a nap, so he angrily locked Huy in a room, not feeding him or allowing anyone to approach him.
On the other hand, the stepfather used his hands, a belt, and an aluminum rod extended from a hanger to continuously hit H. on the body, head, and face, causing serious injuries. The incident was later reported to the police by Ms. NTNL (H.'s mother).
Upon receiving the news, An Thoi Town Police quickly arrived at the scene, broke down the door to rescue H. and took her to Phu Quoc District General Hospital for emergency treatment. At the same time, the police also arrested Anh. Working with the police, Anh confessed to brutally beating H.
The incident is being further investigated by the authorities.
