Arrest of 2 leaders of a drug retail ring in the deep forest

On May 25, the leader of Ky Son District Police said that the unit had just arrested two subjects Lau Ba Tinh (born in 1989) and Lau Ba Chai (born in 1993), both residing in Muong Long 2 village, Muong Long commune, Ky Son district, for the act of illegal drug trafficking; confiscated 400 synthetic drug pills and 10 grams of heroin.

Previously, through the work of monitoring and grasping the area, the general investigation team (Ky Son District Police) discovered in Muong Long commune a group specializing in retailing drugs to addicts and drug dealers led by Lau Ba Tenh and Lau Ba Chai. The movements of these two subjects were very mysterious and secretive, they were often absent from the locality, "appearing and disappearing" and then disappearing into the deep forest between Ky Son and Tuong Duong districts. Only regular customers could contact and order "goods" from Lau Ba Tenh and Lau Ba Chai.

To concentrate forces, the detectives reported the situation to the District Police Leaders to establish a special project to fight against this sophisticated and cunning criminal group. After a long time of persistently monitoring all movements of the group, on May 23, the Special Project Board received information that Lau Ba Tinh and Lau Ba Chai were preparing to deliver the "goods" to their partners.

At around 5:00 p.m. on May 24, at Xop Tu village, My Ly commune, Ky Son district, the Task Force (Ky Son district police) coordinated with My Ly Border Guard Station to arrest Lau Ba Tinh and Lau Ba Chai red-handed while they were conducting drug transactions with partners. However, during the arrest, due to their fierce resistance, 2 officers of the Task Force were injured. At the scene, the Task Force seized 400 synthetic drug pills, 10 grams of heroin and 1 motorbike.

At the police station, the two subjects initially confessed to their crimes. Accordingly, they often bought drugs from a Laotian man and hid them at the edge of the forest. When customers asked to buy, they arranged a location in a remote forest area and a time, usually at night and in the evening, when there were few people around, to deliver the "goods".

It is known that Lau Ba Tenh and Lau Ba Chai are cousins. Lau Ba Tenh's brother, Lau Ba Dia, was recently sentenced to 7 years in prison by the People's Court of Ky Son district for the crime of illegal drug trafficking.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police is completing the case file to prosecute the case and prosecute the two suspects Lau Ba Tinh and Lau Ba Chai for the crime of illegal drug trafficking according to the provisions of law.
