Arrest of 2 Taiwanese subjects in case of illegal drug trafficking of more than 1.1 tons
These two subjects are involved in a transnational drug trafficking and transportation ring of 1,150 tons that was discovered by Taiwanese (Chinese) police in late 2018.
On December 21, Department 6 of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (C04), Ministry of Public Security, announced that it had just arrested two subjects wanted by Taiwanese police for a drug trafficking and transportation ring, who were hiding in Vietnam.

Specifically, at 8:00 a.m. on December 20, the police arrested two Taiwanese (Chinese) nationals: Teng Tien (Dang Thien, born in 1956) and Chen Chih Hsiung (Tran Chi Hung, born in 1963) while they were hiding in Ho Chi Minh City.
These two subjects are involved in a transnational drug trafficking and transportation ring (Myanmar, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam) that was discovered by Taiwanese Police (China) in late 2018.
After that, the two subjects escaped and were internationally wanted.
According to the representative of Room 6 C04, this is the result of coordination between the Department of Drug Crime Investigation (Ministry of Public Security), Ho Chi Minh City Police, the Department of Anti-Smuggling Investigation (General Department of Customs) and Group 3 - Department of Drug and Crime Prevention and Control under the Border Guard Command, promptly applying professional measures to arrest the above two subjects.
Currently, C04, Ministry of Public Security is completing procedures to hand over the subjects to Taiwan Police.
