Seized 2 tons of seafood of unknown origin
(Baonghean.vn)- On August 19, Major Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Deputy Head of Nghi Loc District Police, said that the unit is temporarily holding 2 tons of seafood of unknown origin for investigation.
Previously, at 6:30 p.m. on August 16, a working group of Nghi Loc District Police patrolling on National Highway 1A through Quan Hanh town discovered a passenger bus with license plate 14B 00644 traveling North-South with suspicious signs.

During an administrative inspection of the vehicle, authorities discovered 46 foam boxes under the vehicle containing seafood including shrimp, crab, and crabs preserved in ice, with a total weight of about 2 tons. Driver Tran Van Manh (39 years old, residing in Nam Dinh City) could not produce any documents or invoices for the above shipment.
Confessing to the investigation agency, Manh said that when the bus traveling from Da Nang to Quang Ninh reached Quang Binh province, a trader hired him to load the goods and transport them to Cua Ong bus station (Quang Ninh).
According to Major Nguyen Thanh Nhan, the investigation agency will soon carry out procedures to destroy this evidence according to the provisions of the law.
