Arrest of subjects illegally storing and using explosives

(Baonghean.vn)- At 10:00 a.m. on February 17, the anti-drug crime force coordinated with the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port to discover and arrest a subject for storing and using explosives.

Subject Tran Giang Nam

The arrested subject is Tran Giang Nam, born in 1985, with permanent residence in Quang Van commune, Ba Don town (Quang Binh). Detectives seized from Nam the following evidence: 1.79 kg of explosives; 70 cm of slow-burning fuse and 55 detonators.

Seized exhibits

According to the initial investigation, Tran Giang Nam confessed to buying the above explosives from an unknown person with the purpose of using them to exploit aquatic resources at sea.

Currently, the case is being further investigated by the authorities to clarify.
