Arrest the man who specializes in speaking ill of leaders

Recently, on the Internet, especially on social networking sites Facebook, Youtube, personal blogs..., many articles and videos have appeared with content distorting the guidelines and policies of the Party and State; insulting, defaming, and discrediting the leaders of the Party, State and Thanh Hoa province, causing negative impacts on security and order and causing suspicion among the people.

Faced with that situation, the Provincial Police Director directed the establishment of Project D616, mobilizing forces to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security's professional units to fight. After a period of collecting documents and evidence, the Project Board solved the case, arresting Nguyen Danh Dung (born in 1987, permanent residence at No. 09, Phuong Dinh 3 Street, Tao Xuyen Ward, Thanh Hoa City).

Dung is the account owner and administrator of the Youtube channel “ThienAn TV” which posted a series of videos with distorted and defamatory content about Party and State leaders and spread them on the Internet. The seized evidence included 2 laptops, 2 mobile phones and many other documents related to the crime. The investigation results determined that from June 2016 until his arrest, Dung uploaded 753 clips with false content to the Youtube channel “ThienAn TV”, attracting more than 40 million visitors.

The outstanding achievements of the Thanh Hoa Public Security force were praised by the Ministry of Public Security, local authorities, and Thanh Hoa province awarded 100 million VND. The units with outstanding achievements are PA83, PA71, PA69, PA72, PA92...
