Arrest of man carrying opium and pen gun on his person
Checking the subject, the working group discovered inside the subject's wallet a plastic bag containing 4 black pieces suspected to be drugs, a pen-shaped metal object (with a bullet inside).
Previously, at around 5:00 p.m. on May 17, the working group of Dien Bien Ward Police (Ba Dinh District, Hanoi) on duty to ensure security and order at the Hoang Dieu - Cao Ba Quat intersection discovered a suspect driving a Honda Wave motorbike.

The investigation team took the subject and the evidence to the police station to continue verifying and clarifying the matter.
The subject's identity was determined to be Trinh Phi Hung, with permanent residence in group 6, Bac Cuong ward, Lao Cai city (Lao Cai province). The appraisal results showed that the gun the subject was carrying was a military weapon.
According to records, Hung has a previous conviction for "Receiving property obtained through criminal activity".
Ba Dinh District Police are consolidating records and handling the subject according to regulations.
