Arrest of 'female monster' who disguised nearly 2.3 tons of firecrackers and hid them at an acquaintance's house
(Baonghean.vn) - In the process of expanding the investigation into the sale and storage of firecrackers, Nghi Loc District Police (Nghe An) has just seized an additional 227kg of firecrackers hidden by Nguyen Thi Kim Chi at an acquaintance's house.
On December 10, 2021, Nghi Loc District Police, Nghe An Province said that in the process of continuing to fight against a group of subjects who traded and stored more than 2.4 tons of firecrackers that the unit had previously arrested, Nghi Loc District Police had just seized an additional 227kg of firecrackers.
Previously, on November 14 and 16, 2021, in Nghe An and Quang Tri provinces, Nghi Loc District Police coordinated with relevant units to simultaneously arrest 11 subjects for illegally trading and storing firecrackers, seizing a total of 2.4 tons of evidence.firecrackertypes

Among the subjects arrested by the Police Agency is Nguyen Thi Kim Chi (born in 1985), residing in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province. During the process of fighting with this subject, Nghi Loc District Police determined that Chi was still hiding a large amount of firecrackers at the house of an acquaintance in Quang Tri province.
Based on the suspect's testimony and the application of professional measures, on December 6, 2021, Nghi Loc District Police coordinated with Trieu Phong District Police, Quang Tri Province to conduct an emergency search of the house of Ms. PTH (born in 1965), residing in Trieu Phong District, Quang Tri Province. During the search, the Police discovered and seized 15 more sacks containing 144 boxes of 36-round firecrackers, with a total weight of 227kg.

It is worth mentioning that Nguyen Thi Kim Chi took advantage of the homeowner's trust and disguised the firecrackers as bags of consumer goods and borrowed a private room to hide them. Afterwards, Nguyen Thi Kim Chi locked the room and kept the key, so Ms. H. did not know.
Thus, up to this point, the amount of fireworks in the project that Nghi Loc District Police coordinated with other units to destroy has reached more than 2.6 tons.
Currently, the case is being investigated and handled by the police according to the provisions of law.
