Arrest of large quantity of smuggled goods

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 3, Vinh Tan Ward Police (Vinh City) announced that they had just arrested a case of transporting a large quantity of smuggled electronic goods.

During the patrol to control the trade of counterfeit goods, fake goods and commercial fraud during the Lunar New Year 2017, Vinh Tan Ward Police discovered a truck with license plate 89C - 071.22 parked illegally by Mr. Do Xuan Phuong (born in 1991), residing in Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province.

The ward police force conducted an administrative inspection and discovered that the vehicle was carrying a large number of carton boxes of foreign-made electronic goods, including: 203 microphones, 165 speakers of various types, 1060 dish receivers and digital receivers, 20 sets of antennas, 20 microphone controllers bearing the brands CROWN, PAUXIS, SHURE L88, JIEPAK.

At the time of inspection, Mr. Phuong could not present any documents proving the origin of the above electronic goods.

Currently, Vinh Tan ward police have drawn up a record to temporarily detain all the exhibits and completed the file to transfer to the city police to handle the violation according to the provisions of law./.
