Arrested football betting case with over 10,000 bets with nearly 24 billion VND

On July 2, the Criminal Police Department of Hai Duong Province Police said that the unit had just dismantled a gambling ring in the form of football betting on the Internet, identifying 6 participants.

One of the first suspects was Nguyen Dac Ton (29 years old, residing in An Lam commune, Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province). The investigation agency determined that by the time of his arrest, Ton's Tv3g08 account had made 10,556 bets with a corresponding amount of nearly 24 billion VND. At the time of his arrest, on June 28, this line used the Tv3g080 account to place 354 bets with a corresponding amount of over 7 billion VND.

According to Nguyen Duc Ton's testimony, on May 29, through the website b88ag.com, he received the account Tv3g080 from a subject. After that, Ton divided it into many small accounts and gave it to other subjects to use to organize football betting.

Of these, Pham Van Toi (35 years old, residing in Nam Sach town, Nam Sach, Hai Duong) was assigned 4 accounts. Toi used 3 accounts for betting; the remaining account he assigned to Kieu Ba Toan (31 years old, residing in An Lam, Nam Sach) also to organize betting. In addition, Ton divided the accounts to Kieu Trac Quang (33 years old, residing in An Lam, Nam Sach) and several other subjects. While receiving and dividing the accounts, Ton also directly bet.

The case is being further investigated by the Hai Duong Provincial Police Department.
