Arrested for illegally transporting 1 ton of animal organs

(Baonghean.vn) - At 1:30 a.m. on November 9, the Traffic Police Team of Dien Chau District Police coordinated with Market Management Team No. 1 to arrest a case of illegally transporting 1 ton of animal organs.

The offal, including 1 ton of pig ears and intestines, was seized by authorities.

Upon checking the passenger car with license plate 43B - 009.55 Nam - Bac driven by driver Ta Quang Thong, residing in Hai Chau District, Da Nang City, the working group discovered that the car was carrying 20 foam boxes containing 1 ton of offal including pig intestines and ears that were emitting a foul odor.

The driver could not present documents proving the origin of the goods and claimed to be transporting them for hire from Da Nang to Hanoi.

The working group handed over all the above organs to Dien Chau Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Station for handling according to the provisions of law.
